May 2015: Regional Transportation Plan Update and 2016-2019 TIP Documents Adopted

The GHMPO Policy Committee adopted the Gainesville-Hall Regional Transportation Plan: 2015 Update (RTP) and the 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) on May 12, 2015. Both of these documents address the region’s transportation needs and anticipated funding through the year 2040 and is required to be updated every four years in order to receive and utilize federal transportation funds. This RTP recommends 21 road widening projects, six intersection improvements, two new limited access freeway interchanges, three roadway operation projects, five bridges as well as bicycle and pedestrian improvements, transit, and ongoing maintenance of the transportation system.
