March 2019: Regional Transportation Plan Survey & Upcoming Events
GHMPO has undertaken an update of the Gainesville-Hall Regional Transportation Plan in January 2019. This Plan is our transportation road map into the future. A key part of this plan update will be the development of a financially-constrained list of transportation projects in the Gainesville-Hall region to be implemented in the short, mid, and long-term over a thirty-year period between 2020 and 2050. Projects will include a wide variety of transportation related improvements including potential new roads, road widenings, and intersection improvements. We are also looking at improvements for transit, bicycles, and pedestrians.
Public involvement is a key part of the 2020 Regional Transportation Plan update. There are several ways to provide your input throughout the duration of this project:
- Take the Online Survey, which will be online through May 24, 2019.
- Stop by our booth at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Annual Transportation Forum on March 7, 2019 or at the Gainesville Spring Chicken Festival on April 27, 2019.
- Attend a public meeting – dates will be posted on the Public Input site as they are finalized. You can also sign up here to receive information via email.
- Check the project website for updates.
