June 2006: Georgia DOT Awards Contract for Exit 16 Project

The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $74.6 million contract to remake the Interstate 985 exit at Mundy Mill Road to E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. of Snellville, according to a DOT announcement. This project will relieve congestion at existing Exit 16 and better collect and distribute traffic from/to Atlanta Highway, Mundy Mill Road, Poplar Springs Road, Gainesville State College, and Lanier Technical College.
