Oakwood Traffic Study Cover1

The Oakwood Citywide Traffic Improvement Study was prepared for the Gainesville‐Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization (GHMPO) and the City of Oakwood to evaluate traffic congestion and safety issues at various locations throughout the City. The purpose of the study was to conduct a review of existing conditions to identify and characterize the transportation issues at eighteen strategic locations within the City’s roadway network. Based on this initial identification of issues, engineering evaluations and analyses were conducted to identify applicable improvement strategies. These strategies included considerations of geometry, traffic safety, traffic control and traffic operations.
